TXP Make

PHP in templates is so last decade

The WeBlog

The WeBlog, the Blog, the art of logging your thoughts.

Article driven

Long awaited, anticipated, users drooling over, step away please, intro music, the Blog Theme.

  • Article driven means the Theme is ready to go, it has all the proper template tags in place for displaying your articles, your data, just add content.
  • Over time, all the Themes featured here will use txp:article and/or txp:images tags for display purposes. The placehold.it images in the first 5 themes have already been replaced with sample hard-coded images, giving a better view of the Theme in a real world scenario.

Cogs in a wheel

The WeBlog Theme was the last cog in the wheel. With it, and the rest of the Themes I had already migrated, I’ve been able to make every TXP site I administer mobile-friendly. There’s quite a lot more web real estate that I own, besides the TXP Family of sites, that needed makeovers.

The knowledge I’ve gained from taking these Themes and applying them to live sites, is slowly funneling back into this site. Where I was 4 weeks ago, seems so far away from where I am today.

I deliberately chose a radical distribution method, providing links to the Page, Style and Forms in each of the Theme’s footers. This allowed me to keep enhancing the Themes, without having to deal with re-packaging, thus quickening the development cycle.

Let us thank Bike Charlotte for being the petri dish that grew the latest cog.
