PHP in templates is so last decade
Many people have expressed the desire for a formal entity to allow for, amongst other things, purchase of domains by the entity rather than by an individual, clearer representation of Textpattern and more structured future growth.
Textpattern Legal Entity, Peter’s forum post on August 11 of 2015. Over a month later, nada, zilch, crickets. But that’s good news, according to Phil, if you inform others of your intentions, and they don’t oppose, then you’re good to go. So Peter, go right ahead, I don’t see any opposition to a legal entity.
Today I returned to the forums to inform the Textpattern users that their cross-reference would not require a password. What ensued was a heated exchange between Destry, the keeper of the docs, and yours truly. Again, according to Destry, everyone knows about docs.Textpattern.io, and since there is no opposition, then him and Phil are setting up shop over there.
Destry, in one of those heated exchange posts, accused me of going too fast. I guess they want me to slow up so they can catch up, or something to that effect.
Destry, just for you, I’m going to kick it up a notch.
I wasn’t planning on releasing any code till 2016, that would of given everybody a chance to think things out, and allow me to settle in somewhere new. But now, in light of the no opposition rule, I’m putting off making any more TXP Themes, or enhancing the TXP Tags, or updating We Love TXP with the new 700×400 png thumbnails, and focus exclusively on the TXP CMS code base.
There’s a new sheriff in town.
