Week eight, the munchies.
Kitchen cabinets on tap this week. They’re old, but strong as anything they make these days. Used this wonderful cleaner called TSP to wipe off the grease, sanded them down lightly to get some texture, and applied a fresh coat of black. Finished it off with brushed nickeled knobs.
I really like my kitchen, it’s old school, swinging doors to get in, the heat and smells stay contained. It’s huge for today’s standards, nowadays a kitchen is a hallway stuck between the family room and bathroom, where you go during commercials. America don’t cook, they eat out, and snack.
Sailor Jerry paid us a visit yesterday, wonderful fellow, love his tattoos.

I do an enormous amount of research, Google is indeed my friend. I have the enviable position of going after, seeing what worked or didn’t on successful open source projects. Why do something that’s already been tried and failed, or it’s been implemented and become a maintenance nightmare?
Open Source, the apropos words of these last 8 weeks. In my research, I’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t stop an Open Source licensed project from gaining traction, you can only slow it down.
Have you ever read about?
Imagine a world of Blue Web Screens of 404 Death, and getting support from Microsoft Engineers that copy/paste the same freaking canned answer into every thread. The horror!
With all the money and manpower at Microsoft’s disposal, why are you reading these words being rendered by a PHP app, talking to a MySQL database, served up by Apache, running on Linux?
Welcome to the world of Open Source, try and stop us.
