PHP in templates is so last decade
What’s with this Stardate shit?
Grew up on Star Trek, no fancy CGI, use your imagination. When I resurrected this blog last summer, I needed a title for a status update article.
Went through all the We Love TXP submissions, mostly WordPress sites hawking something. At first I was polite, “Sorry but We Love TXP is for Textpattern driven websites”, now my canned answer is “Did you know that WordPress sucks balls?”.
When I began working on TXP Docs, I went looking for a theme, HOMER got the nod, it’s from the same fellow that did INSPINIA.
HOMER was working out so well for the docs, that I started playing with it as an admin theme. Just prototyping at the moment, next step is to bring the html pages into Textpattern to display live data tables for the articles, images, files, links and categories. Access to PHP from within Textpattern to simulate certain aspects of the admin-side is a plus.
Got 5 new themes ready to go, but I want to give TXP Themes a new look first. In addition to the 5 Bootstrap themes, I’ve been working on a Twenty Sixteen port, so many freaking files in a WP theme, my god.
New frontiers, let me just say that I’m having a blast.
I’ve got 3 computers, 3 phones, 2 dogs and a tablet assisting me in this venture. The crew is still on vacation, can’t get them out of the Florida sun, but winter is fast approaching, they’ll need to come in eventually.
